You aren’t human anymore. I would urge smart enough people to try it at least once or so, if they need a challenge or if they have any input on what is actually going on in this thing we call life. There’s definitely an understanding curve based on your own past interest and experience.
By that logic, should everyone read this even though those not into the subject will most likely find it nonsensical and silly? Now, I would be first in line if I wasn’t yibetano afraid of spiders, and in psychedelic experience you pretty much get what you expect. This book is not yet featured on Listopia. Sometimes they are humanoids. I think the new introduction offers a lot of perspective 40 years later and really sets the stage for the writings of Leary and so forth.

Open Preview See a Problem? This definitely has made me want to read the actually Tibetan Book of the Dead and to really see how they adapted their psychedelic experiences to those teachings. Perhaps a bit esoteric for dis who are not intimate with the teachings of the Bardo Thodol though great effort is made to make these teachings accessible in the book.
Whether made applicable as a “manual”, I think it’s quite a compelling read into the elements of our psyche, its limits – and what lies beyond. With psychedelics such as acid, DMT, or psilocybin, you can get straight, overt alien contact.
But it’s the universal life form spirit. Leary may have burned out half of his brain cells with such experiments but if you want psychonautics there’s nothing finer. Perhap “The Psychedelic Experience” is one of the premier classics of psychedelic literature.
Excellent guide when preparing for a trip.
Strikingly cogent and poetically profound, Leary succeeds in an incredible feat – to, at the very least, paint a picture of consciousness and the ego’s drive to understand and validate its reality. Interesting to see how complete their understanding of the Psychedelic experience was so quickly.

Very interesting translation, and I’m thankful for it as honestly I’ve had some trouble plowing through others.
In this book it morto hypothesized they are human ancestors, in strange form. I will definitely be utilizing the instructions written in the last part of the book the next time I trip sit for someone.

It’s somewhat repetitive, which is not necessarily a criticism, with a vos reassuring tone. Or, sentient intelligent life form contact. And also, the entities. Their insights into the connection between the psychedelic experience and “spiritual” experiences were interesting but the fact that they would acknowledge where their knowledge ends is also refreshing.
