This reaches truly insulting levels when Lucy punching Halsey in the face somehow cures her of her inability to speak. She then accuses Halsey of lying to her about the clones used in the Spartan program and they have a heated argument about the issue. Many of the characteristics that were set up by the previous books, seem to be disregarded so that there can be a constant bashing of Halsey.
